After 15 years in a number of HR roles across Schneider Electric, in April 2020 Charise was appointed Chief Human Resources Officer. Before joining Schneider Electric, she gained experience at various international companies which were maturing their operations in China.
Having led HR teams in Businesses, Sales organizations and Country Operations, her most recent position was SVP HR Services and People Strategy. As the engine of HR in a global company, it gave her tremendous insights into HR Tech, future trends and market practices. On a personal level, she enjoys being part of a high performing team, leading transformation and digital challenges.
Roan Kang, Vice President for Microsoft and Chief Operating Officer of Microsoft Greater China Region (GCR), is in charge of establishing and executing product and marketing strategy as well as business operations in the region. In this role, he is also accountable for managing in China Global Accounts, Microsoft’s largest global multinational customers. Roan has also been the executive sponsor of Diversity and Inclusion in GCR for Microsoft since 2016.
Roan joined Microsoft in 2002. Prior to his current role in GCR, Roan was the General Manager of Marketing and Operations at Microsoft Taiwan, responsible for all of the products and services of Microsoft Taiwan and ensuring the effective operation of the subsidiary. At the same time, from 2015-2021, he also served as the AI and Internet of Things Lead (IoT) across the Microsoft Greater China Region, responsible for the strategy and promotion of Microsoft IoT solutions in China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. In 2017 he also served as the GCR Solutions Technical Unit Sales leader.
Previously, Roan served as the Office business group lead of Microsoft Japan. Prior to that, he was also the chief of staff for President of Microsoft International, Jean-Philippe Courtois, based in France. He began his career at Microsoft in the headquarters in Seattle, WA, as the executive speechwriter of Chairman Bill Gates, the worldwide launch lead of Office 2007, and the first worldwide product manager for Microsoft OneNote.
In 2015 he won a Platinum Circle of Excellence award, which is given to less than 1% of employees at Microsoft.
Roan received his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and has an AB in East Asian Studies focused on the economic and political history of Modern China from Harvard University.
Michelle is Head of HR at Pfizer China. Prior joining Pfizer in year 2010, she was working for Shell China Limited and used to take up finance, sales and HR positions with increasing management responsibilities. Michelle has been the HR lead for many country level business transformation programs, and also represented China to participate APAC/global level’s change projects. As a well rounded HR, Michelle demonstrates deep expertise in M&A, OD, HR operations and business partner areas. She graduated from South China University of Technology and obtained both B.S and B.A degree of Chemical Engineering and International Trade. She also studied in Peking University for the EMBA program for 18 months
Annie Wang joined Bayer in 2012, and is currently the HRVP, Bayer Greater China and APAC. Annie is a seasoned HR practitioner in different industries. Over the past 20+ years, Annie had held different HR management positions with multinational companies, such as DHL, Nortel Networks, Edelman, and Schneider Electric. Her study and work experience in China as well as in Canada have enabled her to appreciate different cultural environment and adopt the appropriate approach to tackle the cross-cultural issues.
Annie got her bachelor’s degree in Beijing University of Chemical Technology, majored in Business Administration. She further obtained her post graduate education in the field of Human Resources Management and acquired her CHRP (Certified Human Resources Professional) designation in Canada. She also received her MBA Diploma from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS).
Li Guoxing, co-founder and CEO of Moka. He holds a double degree in computer science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and University of Michigan, and a master's degree in computer science from Stanford University, where he majored in AI. He worked at Facebook and held a technical position at SignalFx, an intelligent data monitoring start-up company. He has rich experience in web development, architecture, AIBI, and other related technologies. In 2015, he returned to China and founded Moka. He is fully responsible for the company's overall management and strategic planning, core product development, delivery, and customer success.

Steven Song is a member of firm’s Global Technology Markets and Global Financial Markets based in Beijing. He is also an active member of firm’s Government Relations center of expertise.
In his over two decades of experience with Korn Ferry International, Mr. Song has severed a great number of clients in multiple sectors. His client base extends from major multinational companies to large Chinese state-owned/private enterprise, educational institutes and NGOs.
Mr. Song has solid track record of handling high-level recruitment projects, such as Asia Pacific/Greater China President, Global Functional Leader and China commercial leadership positions. He has been also heavily involved in cross-border assignments, working across different regional offices and recruiting executives from North America and European markets to Asia.
Mr. Song was posted to Korn Ferry International San Francisco office in 2008 on the “China Desk Program”. During this period, he established good understanding of US talent market and has successfully recruited a number of western executives and oversea Chinese talents back China market.
Mr. Song holds Executive MBA degree from Tsinghua University. He earned his Bachelor degree in English Literature from Beijing Foreign Studies University.
Joanna Mao joined the United States Information Technology Office (USITO) in September 2015 serving as its Deputy Managing Director. Prior to that, Joanna was employed with Lenovo, Intel, A.P. Muller. Maersk, Microsoft and Ogilvy & Mather. She has 17 years of marketing, communication and partner management experience in the information technology sector, and while serving as spokeswoman, oversaw government affairs in North Asia. Joanna was once in investment banking, providing counseling for Chinese companies seeking overseas listings while serving for ING Baring.
Janet Chen joined Microsoft (China) Co., Ltd. in October 2015, and is now the CHRO of Greater China Region. She is fully responsible for strategic HR planning and management in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, focusing on developing core executive teams based on talent acquisition, development and management, enhancing organizational effectiveness, and thus strengthening the core competitiveness of the organization. She uses Microsoft's global leading technology to drive digitally-driven HR management change through a new cultural transformation, and then leads the company-wide strategic digital transformation at all levels and functions. She enables the HR team to harness the power of technology to benefit all people and clients to achieve excellence through continuous innovation and breakthroughs.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Janet worked at Nestle (China) Co., Ltd. as the Human Resources Director of the Food & Beverage Division in Greater China. She has 19 years of experience in human resources management and has extensive experience in talent development, organization design, performance management, change management, and labor relations.
Janet graduated from Nanjing Normal University with a degree in English and studied at the Department of Psychology at Peking University with a specialization in Applied Psychology. She later received on-the-job training as senior executives at China Europe International Business School and London Business School.
Julia currently serves as the Head of Human Resources, School Operations at YCYW Education. Before this, she has more than 10 years of human resources and operational experience in the education industry.
Julia holds an MBA from the University of Hong Kong and a dual Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English Language and Literature and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) in Political Science from East China Normal University.
Melody Xu currently serves as the Head of Human Resources at HP Inc. Greater China, located in Beijing, China.
