AmCham China has been playing a leading role in assisting our member companies to deal with uncertainties, mitigate risks and keep close and effective communication with the local government. After three years of pandemic control, China has adjusted its policy and appeared refocusing on greater opening up.
May 26, 2023,marks the 15th year that AmCham China delivers the "American Business in China White Paper" to the Tianjin Municipal People's Government and organize dialogue between the Tianjin Government leaders and member representatives.
The theme for this year's event is "Riding the Tide of Momentum with Open Innovation". We would like to express our sincerest gratitude and respect to the Tianjin Municipal People's Government for its continuous optimization of the business environment and the support and attention to our member companies over the past years. And hope to work together through more in-depth communication and cooperation to contribute to the overall improvement of Tianjin's business competitiveness and economic development.
Tianjin, the birthplace of modern industry in China and the preferred habitat for capital and advanced technology back a hundred years ago, open innovation has always been the gene of this city. Now Tianjin is vigorously introducing new kinetic energy, accelerating the high-end, green, and intelligent development of manufacturing, and making every effort to build a modern industrial system.
The American Business in China White Paper is one of AmCham China's signature products that codify members' collective insights on China's current business climate while getting our official position on the high-priority issues that affect the American business community in China. It also serves as a year-on-year assessment of the progress made on policies and regulations affecting our members in 20 industries and is a key platform for discussion and engagement with the Chinese government.
