PwC Finance Roundtable: Dealing with Chinese Tax Authorities
This event will be held in Chinese with English materials.
With business recovering in China, tax authorities enhance inspections, identify tax risks, and challenge positions taken by taxpayers. Multinational players are left with the question of how to manage relationships with Chinese tax authorities effectively.
As our speaker, we are happy to welcome Mr. Liang Gong, Tax Controversy and Dispute Resolutions Leader at PwC China. He has 20 years of experience in advising multinational and Chinese enterprises in tax controversy situations in China. Before joining PwC, Liang Gong worked for seven years for the Qingdao State Tax Bureau and gained first-hand experience in tax administration and tax audit matters. Over their professional practice, Liang Gong and his team have built up a robust network with tax authorities in multiple locations and levels.
In this roundtable, we want to discuss:
- Recent trends in tax investigations and tax audits.
- Insights into how tax bureaus are organized and how inspection cases are identified.
- Commonly seen patterns in tax inspections and audits.
- Trends in digitalization and automation.
- Real case sharings and takeaways.
This roundtable is tailored for finance & tax decision-makers (CFOs, Finance Directors, Tax Directors).
