Mark your calendar on Oct 16 (Fri) for AmCham China's 21th Annual HR Conference, at YiCheng Fortune Center in Beijing.


The year of 2020 has seen unprecedented public health challenges to the global economy, business operations and and people's daily life. For corporate leaders, government decision-makers and educators, our collective experience over the past many months has given us much to think about on sustaining and transforming our people, organizations and business with resilience.


AmCham China has carried tremendous efforts to represent and advocate for our industries and companies to have overcome many challenges, starting from donating PPEs, staying engaged with our members through virtual services, work resumption, getting expatriate executives to return to China, recommending policy measures to relieve market burdens for challenged industries, and building business development bridges to help our member companies recover business. The very first of these conversations at AmCham China, however, was a Microsoft Teams call that the leaders of our Human Resources Forum had about how to ensure operational continuity by sharing best practices amidst lockdown, and at the same time how to leverage this crisis as a learning opportunity to understand the strengths and weakness of our organizations so we come out of this difficulty with strengthened organizations, advanced employee experience, and innovation in business models and transformed mindset suitable for reshaped future of work.


No matter what our job function is, in-house HR, corporate office and factory floor management, support functions such as IT, corporate communication and legal, senior executive decision-making and business unit leadership, external consulting services, students and teachers, and every employees, all of us are stakeholders of these discussions and learning. At this 21st annual HR Conference, our HR community would like to invite all stakeholders, HR related or not, to join this HR Conversation for All of Us and Learn to Become Resilient Together.

The conference includes four morning models: overall assessment on crisis impact to global economy, talent and education, I. learning about our organization's strengths and weaknesses, II. choices between business recovery and employee experience, and III. challenge-reshaped future of work, the annual HR Conference this year also features participation of Chinese companies and co-host by the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing ETown), an exclusive Corporate Partner of AmCham China in Beijing, to help provide a platform of brainstorm between foreign and local companies both at the morning conference session and through breakout session enterprise learning visits in the afternoon.
