Following last year's successful visit to Washington DC, AmCham China will again embark on our annual trip to meet with administration and congressional officials, policymakers, and think tanks to exchange views on US-China trade relations. The trip will also coincide with AmCham China and US Chamber's China Business Conference, which is now in its 15th year.
With the Trump administration still settling into new roles in the American capital, China will continue to be a central topic of debate among policymakers and 2025 will be a crucial year for multinational companies with significant stakes in both the US and China markets to engage with the US government. The DC Doorknock program allows participants to actively engage in strategizing our messaging for these meetings and share valuable insights during interactions with key stakeholders.
Last year, AmCham China held meetings with think tank representatives, members of Congress, and various departments of the US administration. To see day-by-day updates from last year's trip, see our website article or WeChat post for a full recap and overview. We also attended the two-day China Business Conference (see 2024 agenda here).
This year, AmCham China will again engage members of the United States government and DC-based policy community. The 2025 delegation will be a group of experienced AmCham China leaders who will be entrusted to communicate the messaging of our Chamber to leaders in DC. Delegates should expect to invest roughly two hours per week into preparation calls and practice exercises leading up to the visit. As always, the Chairman will have the final approval of all applications to join the delegation.
Who can apply to participate?
Please note: All delegates must be members of AmCham China. The total number of delegates will not be greater than 20.
