    Travis Tanner

    Co-Chair, Policy Committee at AmCham China and President of GreenPoint Group

    Travis N. Tanner is the Beijing-based President of GreenPoint Group. Mr. Tanner assists clients based on two decades of experience conducting research and analysis, briefing policymakers, directing programs, and building bridges between Chinese and U.S. government, corporate, academic, and non-profit communities.

    Mr. Tanner is the author, contributing author, or co-editor of numerous publications on the strategic, economic and political dimensions of the U.S.-China relationship, including co-editor of five volumes of NBR’s Strategic Asia series and U.S.-China Relations in Strategic Domains (Routledge, 2020). Mr. Tanner has also been featured in major media outlets in the U.S. and China.

    Mr. Tanner is the recipient of the Doak A. Barnett and Hassenfeld Fellowships and received his M.A. in International Relations from the Johns Hopkins University – SAIS and the Hopkins-Nanjing Center and his B.A. in Chinese language and literature from the University of Utah. Mr. Tanner is Senior Advisor to NBR, a Tsinghua University Schwarzman College Industry Mentor, and member of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations. He has also served as a leader in the Boy Scouts of America for over 20 years.

    Mr. Tanner is fluent in Portuguese and Mandarin Chinese. He and his wife, Amy, and three of their four children, Zachary, Josephine, and Vivian enjoy living in Beijing.

    Co-Founder of Trivium China

    Trey McArver is the co-founder of Trivium China, a Beijing-headquartered strategic advisory firm helping multinational companies and international investors understand political and regulatory developments in China. He works with clients across a range of industries to help them navigate China’s rapidly evolving regulatory landscape.

    Before founding Trivium, Trey was the director of China research at TS Lombard, where he advised asset managers and hedge funds on developments in China's economy and financial markets.

    Prior to that, he was director in charge of public affairs at consultancy North Head in Beijing, where he helped multinational companies to design and execute engagement and advocacy strategies.

    Trey holds an MA in economics and international relations from Johns Hopkins SAIS and a BA from Columbia University. He first moved to China in 2003.

    Andrew Polk

    Co-Founder of Trivium China

    Andrew Polk is the Co-founder and Head of Economic Research at Trivium China, a Beijing-based strategic advisory firm.

    Before founding Trivium, Polk was the China Director at Medley Global Advisors, where he advised asset managers and hedge funds on developments in China's economy and financial markets.

    Previously, Polk was the Resident China Economist at The Conference Board's China Center, where he conducted economic analysis on the Chinese economy for corporate clients.

    Polk is the co-author of The Long, Soft Fall in Chinese Growth and maintains a deep network of professional contacts in the official, academic, and business communities in China – built over a decade of living in China and working on China issues.

    Other research positions he has held include stints at the Institute of International Finance and the U.S. Treasury; he holds an MA in economics and international relations from Johns Hopkins SAIS.
