Join us on Thursday, March 19, at Shangri-La Tianjin for a breakfast briefing exploring China's geopolitical risks from a legal perspective. We are honored to have Vivian Wu, Partner at Baker McKenzie FenXun, as our guest speaker for this month's executive briefing, which will be moderated by Marcus Williams, AmCham China, Tianjin Chair.

In this breakfast briefing, we will explore how multinational companies can identify, assess, and manage Chinaโ€‘related geopolitical risks from a legal perspective. It examines how such risks differ by industry, operational footprint, and strategic commitment to the China market, and how they typically manifest across people, inโ€‘market operations, and global supply chains. Focusing on practical risk navigation, the presentation will highlight common strategies adopted by MNCs, including "Chinaโ€‘forโ€‘China" operating models, governance and management localization, and supplyโ€‘chain diversification, as well as the legal tradeโ€‘offs involved. It will conclude with a discussion of the key areas where companies increasingly seek legal support, and the ongoing tension between global compliance expectations and local realities in China.

Highlights:
