Having led HR teams in Businesses, Sales organizations and Country Operations, her most recent position was SVP HR Services and People Strategy. As the engine of HR in a global company, it gave her tremendous insights into HR Tech, future trends and market practices. On a personal level, she enjoys being part of a high performing team, leading transformation and digital challenges.

Roan Kang, General Manager of Microsoft Greater China Region (GCR), is in charge of establishing and executing product and marketing strategy as well as business operations in the region. In this role, he is also accountable for managing in China Global Accounts, Microsoft’s largest global multinational customers. Roan has also been the executive sponsor of Diversity and Inclusion in GCR for Microsoft since 2016.

Roan joined Microsoft in 2002. Prior to his current role in GCR, Roan was the General Manager of Marketing and Operations at Microsoft Taiwan, responsible for all of the products and services of Microsoft Taiwan and ensuring the effective operation of the subsidiary. At the same time, from 2015-2021, he also served as the AI and Internet of Things Lead (IoT) across the Microsoft Greater China Region, responsible for the strategy and promotion of Microsoft IoT solutions in China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. In 2017 he also served as the GCR Solutions Technical Unit Sales leader.

Previously, Roan served as the Office business group lead of Microsoft Japan. Prior to that, he was also the chief of staff for President of Microsoft International, Jean-Philippe Courtois, based in France. He began his career at Microsoft in the headquarters in Seattle, WA, as the executive speechwriter of Chairman Bill Gates, the worldwide launch lead of Office 2007, and the first worldwide product manager for Microsoft OneNote.

In 2015 he won a Platinum Circle of Excellence award, which is given to less than 1% of employees at Microsoft.

Roan received his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and has an AB in East Asian Studies focused on the economic and political history of Modern China from Harvard University.

He holds a double degree in computer science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and University of Michigan, and a master's degree in computer science from Stanford University, where he majored in AI. He has rich experience in web development, architecture, AIBI, and other related technologies. In 2015, he returned to China and founded Moka. Steven Song is a member of firm’s Global Technology Markets and Global Financial Markets based in Beijing. He is also an active member of firm’s Government Relations center of expertise.

In his over two decades of experience with Korn Ferry International, Mr. Song has severed a great number of clients in multiple sectors. His client base extends from major multinational companies to large Chinese state-owned/private enterprise, educational institutes and NGOs.

Mr. Song has solid track record of handling high-level recruitment projects, such as Asia Pacific/Greater China President, Global Functional Leader and China commercial leadership positions. He has been also heavily involved in cross-border assignments, working across different regional offices and recruiting executives from North America and European markets to Asia.

She has 17 years of marketing, communication and partner management experience in the information technology sector, and while serving as spokeswoman, oversaw government affairs in North Asia. Mr. Feng serves as the Senior Partner, Head of the International Business Division at Tahota (Beijing) Law Firm. Mr. Feng is a reputable IP and data law expert with substantial experience on intellectual property law, data protection law and anti-trust law with reputable international law firm and Chinese law firms, focusing on IP litigation and enforcement, trademark and patent portfolio management, as well as data protection and cyber security related legal practice. Mr. Feng has represented numerous foreign clients from US, EU and Japan at various levels of courts as well as administrative organs in China. Mr. Feng is particularly experienced in addressing clients' commercial needs in the areas of IP litigation, arbitration and prosecution, including patent, copyright, trademark, and domain names, unfair competition, trade secrets. He has also been involved in IP transactional work, including the drafting, negotiation and enforcement of IP assignment or licensing agreements. Besides, he also represented a number of multinationals in dealing with legal matters in relation to cyber security, personal information and data protection. As a highly regarded expert at home and abroad, Mr. Feng is currently serving as the Consultant Expert to Guiding Case Research Center of Supreme People’s Court of China, Vice Director of Copyright Society of China, Standing Committee Member of China Intellectual Property Law Association, an IP Expert for EU-China IPR Helpdesk as well as a member of American Bar Association, China Bar Association and INTA.

Mr. Feng has B.A. and an LL.M. from China Foreign Affairs University and LL.M. from Duke University, United States. He is the first graduate student to receive a Diploma in Intellectual Property Law at Duke University School. Mr. Fung speaks Chinese, English and Japanese as his working languages.

After 2 software companies experience, Maria joined Google as the Human Resources Director which she gained lots of innovation and internet experience. In November 2010, she moved the manufacturing industry and was hired as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Schneider Electric China Operations. She was responsible for the overall human resources management for China and Hong Kong (2010-2017) and play as site management of 26 factories.

In 2017, Maria started her career as an independent consultant. She delivered OKR courses, and provided OKR counseling to various companies.

Maria joined Universal Beijing Resort in 2018 as the Vice President of Human Resources.

Maria has a comprehensive understanding of the Chinese talent market. With solid human resources experience who worked for several Fortune 500 companies, she is an expert in organizational design and talent management, establishing talent strategies, expanding company brands, and supporting rapid business growth in operations.
