Following nearly two years of the US-China trade dispute, the foreign business community has been eagerly anticipating the implementation of the Phase One trade deal. Yet shortly after it was signed, the COVID-19 health crisis put a damper on the global economy and supply chains, impacting many foreign businesses in China.
- How can the Chinese government help foreign companies in China resolve supply chain bottlenecks and resume normal operations?
- What signals and/or policies has the Chinese government released regarding foreign investment?
- How has the global pandemic affected the implementation of the US-China Phase One deal, and how will the two sides move forward with Phase Two talks?
We are honored to host a Policy+ exclusive video briefing with the Development Research Center (DRC) of the State Council on Wednesday, April 15, from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM. Director General Zhang Qi and Vice Director General Luo Yuze of the DRC's Research Department on Foreign Relations will shed light on China's efforts to stabilize foreign investment flows and the US-China trade relationship. Policy+ companies will have an opportunity to communicate their company or industry views towards the end of the meeting.
