Entrepreneur Spotlight #1: Katie Yang, UC Berkeley alumna majoring in Architecture, former international education adviser and large-scale art exhibitions designer, founded the first professional whisky bar in Southwest China, and has participated in the establishment of the largest whisky exhibition in Southwest China for 6 consecutive years.

Entrepreneur Spotlight #2: Dr. Ye Du, University of Michigan Ph.D. in computer science and engineering, former quant researcher at Bank of America Los Angeles and professor at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, founded Chengdu Duality Technologies.

Ye Du is the founder of Chengdu Duality Technologies Limited. The firm utilizes AI technologies to improve the efficiency of financial markets. He got his Ph.D. in computer science and engineering from the University of Michigan and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Science and Technology of China. Before coming back to China, he had worked for Microsoft and Bank of America.

Katie Yang immigrated to the United States with her parents at the age of 3 and has been engaged in international education since she returned to China in 2009. As an envoy of China-US cultural and educational exchanges, she has successfully helped thousands of Chinese students to study in the US. After 2016, she wanted to relive her dream of design. In the following years, she participated in the lighting design and exhibition design of many large-scale art exhibitions at home and abroad, including "Rembrandt Masterpieces from The Leiden Collection", "Maze · Ye Jintian Art Exhibition", " 2018 Biennale Architettura" and more. Let's listen to her story and reveal why she is now full-time engaged in whisky culture communication, founded the first professional whisky bar in Southwest China, and has participated in the establishment of the largest whisky exhibition in Southwest China for 6 consecutive years.
