At our January launch of the 2017 AmCham China Business Climate Survey Report we saw the highlight of ‘talent’ as a risk or barrier in a number of ways: difficulty in retaining talent, insufficient talent as a barrier to innovation, and most significantly the HR priorities - 63% combined - of talent acquisition and training.
In response to this, we are very pleased to have Mr. Mike Causey, Director of Leadership Formation at LDi, speak to us at our executive breakfast on March 16th. Mike has 20 years’ experience in financial services and the oil and gas industry, specializing in risk management and leadership, across 20 countries around the world.
LDi’s ‘Leadership Formation Framework’ tackles three layers of vocational, relational and professional leadership, and does so with a deep experience of both western and Chinese traditions and approaches. Mike will unpack these layers briefly, and address the question of how to bridge the gap with talent acquisition, and the retention of development of senior leaders.
Leadership Development International (LDi) is an education and training company dedicated to growing leaders in China and the Middle East. Serving for over 30 years, LDi employs around 1000 expatriate and local staff serving in eight major cities across China and two cities in the United Arab Emirates. LDi operates eight international schools, an English language training center, and a business consulting and coaching group.
We welcome you to join this breakfast briefing in March.
