Developing global leadership capability is key to business success in the globalized business market. This programme is designed to help you become more effective in your regional or global interaction as a business leader. Whether you are a manager, senior manager or director, if your current or future role requires some level or international interaction and responsibility you will benefit greatly from this programme. Further developing your global operating skills and global mindset will be key to your overall success. This programme will teach you the skills and self-understanding which you will need to further develop your global leadership capability and includes practical case studies and examples.

During this highly interactive training session you will:
  • Gain a deep understanding of what is required for successful global leadership and the concept of Global Mindset
  • Receive a detailed report of where you are now in terms of your Global Mindset
  • Develop a personal action plan with the most effective and efficient ways to improve your Global Mindset and Global Leadership Capability

The programme will utilize the Global Mindset Inventory (GMI) assessment from the Najafi Global Mindset Institute (NGMI), located at Thunderbird School of Global Management. The GMI has been developed to help executives better communicate, do business with, and influence people who are unlike themselves. A strong GMI score is a proven predictor of success in global leadership positions.

Course outline:
Session1: Global Leadership Trends and Success Factors: Including recent data comparing the leadership style of Chinese, European and American leaders.
Session 2: What is a Global Mindset?
Session 3: Understanding Your Global Mindset
Session 4: Developing as a Global Ready Leader

Course Package:
  1. Your Global Mindset Inventory (GMI) self-assessment report and supporting material
  2. A course workbook, which also serves as a handy take away reference guide

This is a 1-day course from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. that will be held in the AmCham China Conference Center. Coffee, lunch and light refreshments will be provided during breaks.

If you cannot attend a training for which you have registered, please cancel your registration no later than five business days prior to the training. If you fail to notify AmCham China of your cancellation in a timely fashion, you will be charged for training costs.     Elisa Mallis

    Elisa Mallis is an experienced Executive Coach, Speaker and Human Capital Consultant with a passion for developing people and their global mindset. For the past 4 years Elisa’s has been the Head of Executive Coaching, leading a team of highly qualified Executive Coaches to deliver world class leadership development and executive coaching solutions.
    Elisa spent 10 years at Accenture, working as a Management Consultant in the areas of human capital strategy, talent management, coaching and leadership effectiveness. As an executive within Accenture, Elisa developed the Human Capital Strategy for nine countries in the Asia Pacific region, including China, and led the development of the Culture Change portion of Accenture’s Global Human Capital Strategy from 2008 to 2010. Prior to working in Asia, Elisa provided consulting and coaching to numerous Accenture Fortune 500 clients across the United States and Europe. She led teams of up to 35 people on multi-million dollar transformation projects and also led the development of several large coaching initiatives within Accenture.

    In addition to a number of Fortune 500 clients, is also currently an Executive Coach for members of the World Economic Forum’s Global Leadership Fellows Program. Elisa has earned a Masters in Organizational Psychology and a Master of Education in Counseling Psychology both from Columbia University in New York City. She completed her initial coach training in 2002, is a Results Certified Coach and received her ACC credential from the International Coach Federation. Elisa is also an accredited practitioner for the Global Mindset Inventory (GMI), the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® and the Leadership Effectiveness Analysis™ (LEA) 360, and ChangeTracking™.

    Elisa was the Chair of the European Chamber of Commerce in China’s HR Forum from 2011 to 2013, leading two Human Capital Conferences with over 150 participants. From 2005 to 2009 Elisa served as the Selection Committee Chair for the International Spirit at Work Awards. Elisa has also been a frequent speaker and workshop leader at a number of Human Capital, Leadership and Coaching Conferences in the US, Europe and China. For the last eight years Elisa has been based in Asia with her husband and their two boys.
