1742277600The 2025 AmCham China Women's Summit: Stronger Together. Building Towards a Better Future will take place on March 18, 2025!
The Women's Summit is one of AmCham China's Signature Events, among the most important dates on the calendar. This conference acts as a platform to gather women entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, business experts, media and investors in the AmCham China community, with a mission to raise awareness of the key role women play in global leadership development and social impact. The Summit highlights the importance of supporting women leaders and women entrepreneurs who are keen to share cutting-edge trends and best practices, and it is designed to be an energetic and bold experience packed with personal and professional development power for women.
There is an increased call for companies to align strategies, policies and operations with universal principals such as the Sustainable Development Goals, which emphasizes equal pay for equal value. However, globally, the gender gap in the workplace is currently at 17 per cent, which means women earn 83 per cent of what men earn, according to 2023 Gender Pay Gap Report (GPGR).
This year, the AmCham China Women's Summit titled Stronger Together, Building Towards a Better Future will take place on March 18th, in Beijing, China.

Gloria Xu is China Country Manager and Vice President, External Affairs of Albemarle. In this role, Gloria represents Albemarle in China and is charged to develop a strategic vision and effective engagement plans for the company to grow sustainable in the country.
Before joining Albemarle in February 2022, Gloria Xu worked for Dow Inc. for more than 7 years and her last role was Vice President, Greater China, serving as Dow’s corporate representative with government, trade associations and other key external stakeholders.
Before joining Dow in 2014, she led the China government affairs functions of DuPont and Standard Chartered Bank respectively for 13 years.
Gloria was China Public Relations Manager of Alibaba.com Group in 2000-2001 and helped build up brand awareness of the new company in its early years.
From 1993 to 2000, Gloria was a political correspondent with China Daily, covering legislative and foreign affairs, military, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan news.
She was elected to the Board of Governors of AmCham China in 2017-2020 and again in 2022. She was a vice Chair of AmCham China in 2020 and was re-elected in 2022.

Ms. Li Ye is leading the Merck China Corporate Affairs hub in support to all the three business sectors (healthcare, life science & electronics) of Merck in China since January 2018. The China hub is among the 3 regional corporate affairs hubs (Europe, the United States and China) of Merck KGaA global wide. She is the member of the leadership team of Merck global corporate affairs and sits in the Country Council of Merck in China.
Ms. Li Ye is a veteran in corporate affairs and government relations for international companies with her 20+ years’ working experience. She joined Merck healthcare in Aug. 2013 responsible for the government relations and market access. Prior to that, she had been taking the management roles on government affairs, market access and strategic development in top international companies including Hoechst, GlaxoSmithKline, Bayer and AstraZeneca, etc. She went to Singapore as the Regional Market Access Lead in Bayer South East Asia in 2008. Later she became Regional Payer Capabilities Director and Global Pricing and Market Access Director for Oncology at AstraZeneca’s Asia Pacific Office until she returned to China.
Li Ye graduated from University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, then she went to the Great Britain for further study. She obtained a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Westminster, London. She also holds a Diploma of Economic Evaluation and Assessment in Health from the University of York, UK. In 2016, Li Ye completed her Executive MBA study in Peking University National Development School in Beijing. She is now studying for a doctorate on financial management run by the National Development School of Peking University and Fordham University in the United States.

Tracy Doherty-McCormick serves as Boeing’s Country Counsel in China. She previously served as the First Assistant U.S. Attorney and Acting U.S. Attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of Virginia, U.S. Department of Justice, where she prosecuted federal cases and oversaw the office. As General Counsel, Tracy assisted in standing up a newly created special inspector general’s office within the U.S. Department of the Treasury to investigate and audit pandemic-related fraud, waste, and abuse.
Tracy was a Legislative Assistant at the U.S. Senate, Committee on the Judiciary, and a Law Clerk in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Virginia. She has held a variety of legal and consulting positions in the U.S. and abroad, including at law firms in Washington, D.C. and Hong Kong. Tze San grew up and was educated in Singapore. Tze San joined Esso Singapore (now ExxonMobil) in 1992 and has more than 30 years of global, commercial, and operations experience. She has served in various senior executive roles in the Upstream, Downstream, Chemical, and Public & Government Affairs at several locations in Canada, the US, and China. Tze San was also the Global Head of Procurement for the Downstream and Chemical businesses in Houston, managing ~$20B annual spend with employees across >10 countries.
After spending 11 years in North America, in late 2019, Tze San located to Beijing as President of Natural Gas Business – responsible for ExxonMobil’s fast-growing LNG business in China. In 2024, she was appointed as the Vice-Chair of ExxonMobil China due to the growing presence of ExxonMobil’s business in China. She believes that the key success factors are to build and maintain credibility and to be helpful while making a positive impact on others. She enjoys mentoring and networking. Prior to that, she had been taking the management roles on government affairs, market access and strategic development in top international companies including Hoechst, GlaxoSmithKline, Bayer and AstraZeneca, etc. She went to Singapore as the Regional Market Access Lead in Bayer South East Asia in 2008. Later she became Regional Payer Capabilities Director and Global Pricing and Market Access Director for Oncology at AstraZeneca’s Asia Pacific Office until she returned to China.
Li Ye graduated from University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, then she went to the Great Britain for further study. She obtained a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Westminster, London. She also holds a Diploma of Economic Evaluation and Assessment in Health from the University of York, UK. In 2016, Li Ye completed her Executive MBA study in Peking University National Development School in Beijing. She is now studying for a doctorate on financial management run by the National Development School of Peking University and Fordham University in the United States.

Tze San grew up and was educated in Singapore. Tze San joined Esso Singapore (now ExxonMobil) in 1992 and has more than 30 years of global, commercial, and operations experience. She has served in various senior executive roles in the Upstream, Downstream, Chemical, and Public & Government Affairs at several locations in Canada, the US, and China. Tze San was also the Global Head of Procurement for the Downstream and Chemical businesses in Houston, managing ~$20B annual spend with employees across >10 countries.
After spending 11 years in North America, in late 2019, Tze San located to Beijing as President of Natural Gas Business – responsible for ExxonMobil’s fast-growing LNG business in China. In 2024, she was appointed as the Vice-Chair of ExxonMobil China due to the growing presence of ExxonMobil’s business in China. Tracy Doherty-McCormick serves as Boeing’s Country Counsel in China. She previously served as the First Assistant U.S. Attorney and Acting U.S. Attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of Virginia, U.S. Department of Justice, where she prosecuted federal cases and oversaw the office. As General Counsel, Tracy assisted in standing up a newly created special inspector general’s office within the U.S. Department of the Treasury to investigate and audit pandemic-related fraud, waste, and abuse.
Tracy was a Legislative Assistant at the U.S. Senate, Committee on the Judiciary, and a Law Clerk in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Virginia. She has held a variety of legal and consulting positions in the U.S. and abroad, including at law firms in Washington, D.C. and Hong Kong. Tracy graduated magna cum laude from the Georgetown University Law Center. She studied Mandarin Chinese at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, New Asia Yale-in-China Chinese Language Center.
