AmCham China, in partnership with Clark Morgan, is proud to host the next session of the Essential Skills Training Program, which will focus on negotiation.

Negotiation is a method by which people settle differences. It is a process by which compromise or agreement is reached while avoiding argument, with the ultimate purpose of negotiation is to achieve a win-win solution.

In this one day training session, you will learn practical skills in building rapport with different communication targets and setting up appropriate negotiation environment before starting negotiate. You will learn how to discover needs of different people by asking efficient questions and provide relevant features to satisfy people's expectations. Participants will learn how to tailor information and present the information to influence people efficiently. By following the strategies of negotiation, you will maintain a healthy relationship in your working environment and benefit your career.

• Discovering deeper needs – the funneling technique
• Needs auditing
• Understanding our firms competitive advantage – features audit
• Understanding leverage and its components
• Presenting information in a persuasive manner


This event will be of use to anyone involved in sales, procurement, and human resources.

Trainer – Rupert Munton
Rupert Munton is a Corporate Trainer and Consultant at ClarkMorgan Corporate Training with 17 years of international management experience, including 8 years of training delivery in China. Rupert is the Head of the Sales and training departments at ClarkMorgan.

Rupert has held senior management positions in the U.K, U.S, Asia and the Middle East, in areas as diverse as the military, H.R, sales and manufacturing. In addition, Rupert holds a B.A. in Arabic and International Relations. Clients include Canon, Microsoft and Daimler.

Negotiation Skills is a full day course from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM that will be held in the AmCham China Conference Center. Coffee, lunch and light refreshments will be provided during breaks.
