Discussion on Health Technology Assessment and the Green Book (Members Only)
Join AmCham China's Healthcare Industry Forum for a discussion on Health Technology Assessment (HTA) and the New Development on Medical Service Pricing Items (the Green Book) with experts from both the US and China.
The 2012 Green Book was published in May 2012 and has attracted a great deal of attention not only from the MedTech industry, but also from authorities at the provincial level and health providers whose budget and practices would change as a consequence. What is the background behind such an initiative? What are the key considerations and criteria in the expansion of the service items to more than 9,000 in the current edition? What is the progress of the provincial roll-out? What are the common issues and challenges in the process? What is the implication for the adoption of the new technology and what is the pathway for future editions and changes?
Experience will also be drawn from the US and European markets on how HTA is used as a tool by the payers to make rational market access decisions for new procedures and technologies, as well as the methods and best practices the MedTech industry could adopt in developing and presenting the value of innovation with stakeholders.
This upcoming session provides our members with an excellent opportunity to have an interactive and educational discussion with the keynote speakers as well as their team members.
AmCham China is pleased to offer another member session in Shanghai on April 24, supported by Boston Healthcare Associates on the same topic. For more details, please send an email to hwang@amchamchina.org.
