AmCham China is pleased to launch its new China Economic Reform Series events with Dan Rosen from the Rhodium Group, a leading analyst of Chinese economic developments, who will present on the transformation Chinese economic policy is currently undergoing, and the possible future implications of these developments. Understanding the key points of Chinese reform policy is crucial to effectively navigating and responding to the changing economic landscape.

As Xi Jinping and Li Keqiang start their second year in office, discerning China's policy trajectory is as difficult as ever for foreign firms. The Third Plenum broadcast significant commitments to reform and opening in November 2013, but indications of continued appetite for "state capitalism" are still everywhere to be found. Rhodium Group co-founder and China practice leader Daniel Rosen, a 20 year veteran analyst of China's economic aspirations, will discuss his approach to sorting out these tea leaves, and the reform outlook for 2014 and beyond.
Daniel H. Rosen is a founding partner of the Rhodium Group (RHG), which combines policy experience, quantitative economic tools and on-the-ground research to analyze global trends. Leading the firm's work on China, Rosen is an expert in analysis of China-US policy dynamics, interpretation of Chinese data, and facilitation of bilateral meetings. He is an adjunct associate professor at Columbia University as well as a Visiting Fellow with the Peterson Institute for International Economics in Washington, DC He has released several influential books in the research of Chinese direct investment in the US. Rosen is currently a member of the Council of Foreign Relations, and serves on the Board of the National Committee for US-China Relations.

The China Economic Reform Series is a series of presentations by experts from academia and both the public and private sectors to offer analysis and updates on China's ongoing economic reforms.
