The Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) is a key safety issue to many types of products including electronic and electrical tools, medical devices, IT and telecommunication equipment, automobiles, and toys. The standards development for RoHS is important to support those industries.

ASTM International and Committee F40 on Declarable Substances in Materials will have its committee meetings in China and will hold talks with Chinese peers in RoHS sector.
AmCham China invites you to a roundtable discussion with experts on RoHS standards. This event is being held in cooperation with RoHS China, led by Alyson Fick, staff manager for F40 Committee with ASTM International. Fick will address how US industry deals with RoHS standards issues to meet Chinese compliance and facilitate trade. Together with Fick are two ASTM Chinese members: Weibing Xing, chief engineer, China Electric Standardization Institute (CESI) and Dr. Huiming Chen, chief expert on chemicals safety research and professor, Institute of Chemicals Safety, Chinese Academy of Inspection and Quarantine (CAIQ).
