Craig Abler was named to lead the Supply Chain Asia team effective August 14, 2020. In this role, his primary responsibility is developing and executing company-level strategies for Asia. This includes identifying new market opportunities, maintaining supplier relationships, and supporting production.

Previously, Craig served as the Director of Manufacturing Strategy & Standards in Enterprise Manufacturing & Supplier Performance responsible for integrating manufacturing strategies, standards, and priorities across the enterprise.

Beginning his Boeing career in 2006 in what is now BR&T, Craig has served in international and domestic roles of increasing responsibility, to include:
• 787 Engineering
• Supplier Management Field Operations
• BCA Fabrication and Airplane Program Quality
• BCA Fabrication Manufacturing Business Unit Leadership

Craig is a US Army Veteran who served as a Signal Corps Officer. He held various positions including Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer, Battalion Staff Officer; and participated
in the Kosovo Defense Campaign. Craig is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with degrees in
management, materials science, and electrical engineering.

Alan Beebe is President of the American Chamber of Commerce in China based in Beijing. He has over twenty-five years of business experience in Asia, including seventeen years in mainland China.

As President, Alan oversees all advocacy, programs, partnerships and insights provided by the Chamber to support the business growth of nearly 900 foreign corporations operating in China, including most of the U.S. Fortune 500. He leads major advocacy initiatives related to trade tariffs, market access, cybersecurity, Made in China 2025, China’s NGO law and structural imbalances in U.S. – China trade and investment.

In 2018, he launched AmCham China’s Technology & Innovation Initiative, focused on the business and policy implications of disruptive digital technologies - such as artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain and cloud computing – for U.S. companies in China.

Prior to joining AmCham China, Alan held various senior executive positions in China with EY, IBM, and management consulting firms AT Kearney and PRTM. He also led a Beijing based start-up for five years, the China Greentech Initiative, which merged in 2014 with the Paulson Institute, founded by Hank Paulson.

Alan has advised a wide range of corporations and global investors on investing and operating in China. His clients have included global private equity firms, high technology companies, energy related companies, and major state-owned and private Chinese enterprises.

He holds a Master’s degree from Yale University in International Relations and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Computer Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the U.S. He is a Board of Advisor of the Yale Club of Beijing and in that capacity promotes academic and cultural exchanges between the U.S. and China. He is a fluent speaker of mandarin Chinese, and reads and writes Chinese. Alan was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska.

Jonathan Kendrick serves as Director of Marketing and as a consulting project manager for Pacific Resources International (PRI), a privately held USA holding company focused on management, consulting and equity holdings in manufacturing and related industries. In its more than 30 years, PRI has held equity in and managed 30 mid-sized manufacturing companies, while its consulting division has successfully helped hundreds of international companies with manufacturing, operations, sourcing, engineering, logistics, human resources and sales in China and other parts of Asia.

Originally from Southern California, Jonathan has been based in Beijing since 2017. Prior to joining PRI, he earned his MBA from Peking University’s Guanghua School of Management. Earlier in his career, he managed strategic initiatives including new business lines, government relations and strategic partnerships for one of the leading affordable housing developers in the United States. He also has worked in television and radio – both in front of and behind the camera - for CBS and Fox Sports. Jonathan earned his bachelor’s degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism from the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles.

Koh Poh-Yian is the Vice President for China Operations at FedEx Express. As the head of FedEx China Operations, Ms. Koh is responsible for the strategic and tactical Ground and Gateway Operations and various initiatives in China.

Ms. Koh started her career with FedEx in Singapore. In 1994, she moved to China and led the company’s efforts to open the market, shape customs procedures, and support many of the FedEx strategic projects (i.e. Pudong and Guangzhou Hub), network, and service expansion in the country. During her 30 years with FedEx, she developed an impressive breadth of experience from her directorship roles in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Beijing. Her contributions for laying the groundwork for FedEx’s continuous growth in China and the Asia Pacific have been recognized with several awards, among them FedEx’s most prestigious 5-star Award, of which she is an eight-time recipient.

She also holds an Executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in conjunction with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Peining Zhao is a Director in the Export Controls and Sanctions offering at FTI Consulting based in Beijing, China. She focuses on U.S. and Chinese export controls and sanctions matters including diplomatic relations, government affairs, multi-lateral export controls, conducting risk assessments, compliance investigations, advising on the U.S. licensing process.

Prior to FTI Consulting, Peining served 25 years with the U.S. Embassy, Beijing, China working with the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) and Foreign Commercial Service (FCS), U.S. Department of Commerce. She assisted in regulating and facilitating secure trade between the U.S. and China. Peining worked with BIS as a liaison to China's Ministry and Commerce (MOFCOM) participating in diplomatic fora and trade events involving both countries. Throughout her government career, Peining developed a high level of expertise in both U.S. and Chinese Export Control laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.

While working for U.S. Mission China, Peining assisted hundreds of U.S. and Chinese companies in complying with export control laws, resolving Chinese market access challenges, and identifying and mitigating trade risks. As an employee of BIS in China, she advised companies within industries of strategic importance to U.S. national security as well as within those industries important to China. Throughout her career, she has been responsible for building trade relationships in numerous sectors, to include semiconductor, IT Telecom, artificial intelligence, aviation, advanced manufacturing, and advanced materials. Peining has provided counsel to senior U.S. and Chinese diplomats, trade associations, and global industry with regards to U.S. – China trade. She has spoken on export controls at workshops and seminars to industry groups and at trade shows; to include the BIS Update Conference in Washington, DC.

Peining holds an MBA from the University of Washington Technology. She is a native Mandarin speaker and is fluent in English.

Sally Peng is a Managing Director in the Export Controls, Sanctions & Trade practice at FTI Consulting and is based in Hong Kong. She is an expert in export controls and economic sanctions, international trade strategy, and global supply chain optimization and compliance.

Sally has been a trusted advisor for many MNCs on their international trade and customs issues. She assisted many Asia-based companies in defending regulatory actions from US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), such as Valuation, Country of Origin, Free Trade Agreements and most recently, Withhold Release Orders ( WROs). During the on-going US-China trade war, Sally is sought after by her clients to advise them on mitigating strategies against US section 301 and 232 retaliation tariffs and overall supply chain management. Her industry coverage includes apparel, footwear, handbag & leather goods, hardline goods and consumer electronics.

Sally has extensive experience advising public-listed companies on their complex encryption programs under US and Hong Kong laws and in other Asia Pacific jurisdictions, including representing her clients in front of relevant government agencies in those jurisdictions. She also advises several China-based clients regarding US sanctions regulations and has performed on-site impact analysis. In addition, she works closely with her clients’ legal, procurement and logistics teams to build best-in-class Export Control and Sanction compliance programs. Her industry coverage includes banks, telecommunications, national defense contractors, heavy machinery, and research universities.

Sally takes her passion for international trade beyond individual companies, having participated in negotiations of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), as well as serving as a key member on numerous trade missions, including to China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Bangladesh, and various African countries. She is also highly involved in the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, serving on several committees, including as Co-Chair of the Apparel, Footwear & Supply Chain Committee. She is also a Senior Advisor to the Hong Kong General Chamber of Textiles.
Prior to FTI Consulting, Sally was based in Beijing & Hong Kong for over ten years and served as the Asia Pacific practice leader of a US-based law firm focused on International Trade and Customs. Sally holds a J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, a Diploma from Peking University Law School in Beijing, and a B.A. from National Chengchi University College of Law. Sally is admitted to Massachusetts Bar and Bar of Washington D.C. She is a native Mandarin speaker and is fluent in English.
