POSTPONED: Restructuring, Transformation and Turnarounds in China - CLE Credit Available*
This event has been postponed. It will be rescheduled to a later date. A final date and time will be announced within the coming weeks.
In this third and final event of the AmCham China's "Restructuring, Transformation and Turnarounds in China" series, AmCham China welcomes Lesli Ligorner, a partner at Simmons & Simmons law firm in Shanghai. Ligorner is an acknowledged expert in human resources and employment consulting in China with deep experience in distressed situations and large scale transformations. She is also a founding director of the Asia Transformation and Turnaround Association (ATTA) in Hong Kong.
HR issues in transformation and turnaround situations are the most sensitive and potentially disruptive issues faced by managers in China. Those who've attended the first two "Restructuring, Transformation and Turnarounds" sessions know the value of the presentations and consequent discussions. Speakers at these events offer remarkably frank opinions about managing operations in China.
Takeaways include:
• An understanding of the dynamics of distressed company management • The importance of HR in the success of restructuring, transformation and turnarounds • An understanding of legal and regulatory issues in China concerning corporate recovery and renewal.
This event will be useful to both established executives and professionals, and younger managers wishing to expand their management knowledge and horizons. Lawyers, HR managers, general managers, accounting and finance professionals will find the topic useful for continuing professional development.
Bob Fonow, a turnaround manager, will be a discussant – who may divulge some of the unspoken secrets of turnarounds in China.
