Join AmCham China for an afternoon presentation with author Tom Miller, as he discusses the prospects for China's urban billion and examines the future landscape of China's cities. He will cover the astonishing rapid expansion of urban China and the new policies that will urgently be needed to develop healthier cities and to reap the full benefits of urbanization.
Tom Miller is the author of China's Urban Billion: The Story Behind the Biggest Migration in Human History (Zed Books, 2012) and managing editor of the China Economic Quarterly, published by Beijing-based research firm GaveKal Dragonomics. Formerly the South China Morning Post's Beijing business correspondent, Tom has written op-eds for the Financial Times and spoken at Chatham House in London. Resident in Beijing for more than a decade, he has a degree in English from Oxford and an MA in Chinese Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London.
