AmCham China and the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China are delighted to invite you to an exclusive lunch presentation of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)'s China Economic Survey 2013, featuring Secretary General Angel Gurria and Richard Herd, head of the China desk, OECD Economics Department.
OECD's Economic Surveys are published every two years for each OECD member country and for some countries that are not OECD members, such as China, Russia and Brazil. They focus primarily on policies having a potential to improve the economy's long-term performance. This involves a wide range of policy areas including labor markets, competition, innovation, human capital, financial markets, sustainable development, social security, taxation, health care and public spending. During this visit, the findings will be presented to Chinese policy makers and top government officials.
The OECD (http://www.oecd.org) was established in 1961 and currently has 34 countries as members. Its core missions are to assist governments design and implement policies that will improve people's economic and social well-being and help them work together in a coordinated manner towards a stronger, cleaner and fairer global economy. The OECD provides a forum in which governments can work together to share experiences and seek solutions to common problems.
