Two Ends of a Telescope: How the US and China See Each Other
The economic rise of China and other developing nations has changed the dynamics of international commerce and trade, and the US position within the global economic system. This unprecedented change has affected the way global citizens view both China and the United States, as well as the way the two countries view each other.
AmCham China and the US-China Business Council (USCBC) are pleased to invite you to attend a presentation by Bruce Stokes, director of Pew Global Economic Attitudes, regarding Pew data on how US citizens view China and how the Chinese view the US. The discussion will also include data on global views of the two nations, and the potential influence these may have on US economic and foreign policy during the second term for the Obama administration.
Stokes is a non-resident fellow at the German Marshall Fund of the United States, an associate fellow of Chatham House and a contributing editor at the National Journal, where he was the international economics columnist for 23 years.
