The emergence of multiple media channels, new content formats, and a hyper-fragmented online environment are blurring the lines between traditional marketing and PR. In this environment, it is crucial for companies to find a balance between the smart integration of marketing and PR, and the erosion of trust that can happen when marketing and earned coverage are tied together.
To help you understand the trends driving the convergence of PR and marketing, and to illuminate the risks, AmCham China's Media, Advertising, and Public Relations Forum has invited a panel of experts to discuss and share strategies and best practices, especially with China in mind. The discussion will address how smart communicators can take advantage of this trend; the challenges and risks from the convergence of marketing and PR; and how PR and marketing organizations can manage the fuzzy line between advertising and editorial in Chinese media organizations without compromising their ethics or alienating their customers.
