The China-United States Partnership on Smoke-free Workplaces (CUSW), a new public-private partnership, has been established between the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Chinese Ministry of Health on Smokefree Workplaces. This commitment is part of a growing international movement among health and business leaders to improve the health of their employees who are protected from second-hand smoke at the workplace.
A launch event of this new partnership will be held on September 7th at the Westin Chaoyang in Beijing, which will include U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Assistant Secretary of Health Dr. Howard Koh.
