AmCham China hosts this members-only panel on China's VAT pilot reform. The State Council has announced its plan to expand the current VAT pilot program, which was first rolled out in Shanghai. The VAT reform is intended to integrate the two major sales taxes in China for certain industries. It is due to be implemented in Beijing, Tianjin, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Hubei, Guangdong, Xiamen and Shenzhen by the end of the year.
