Healthcare Reform in the US and China: Current and Future Challenges
AmCham China's Healthcare Cooperation Program is pleased to invite you to a seminar on healthcare reform challenges in the US and China with Dr. Andrew von Eschenbach, former Commissioner of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Dr. David Rutstein, former Acting US Deputy Surgeon General.
Dr. Eschenbach served as Commissioner of the FDA from 2005 to 2009, and was directly responsible for opening the first FDA offices in China. He will share his views on the latest developments in US healthcare reform, and discuss policy approaches both governments can consider as technological advances lead to new models of healthcare delivery.
Dr. Rutstein will share his views from the ground here in China, where he currently serves as vice president of medical affairs at United Family Healthcare. He will discuss the opportunities created for the private sector by the reform program, and the practical challenges facing hospitals and doctors in delivering quality care in a rapidly evolving policy and commercial environment.
