Internationalization of markets brings the benefits of global delivery, but also the challenges of managing teams around the world from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds. AmCham China's Business Procoss Outsourcing (BPO) Forum hosts this event with Dr. Pamela Abbott and Dr. Yingqin Zheng of Brunel University, who will discuss the findings of a three-year study of software and service outsourcing suppliers in China. This study explores practices and strategies employed by these companies in collaboration with Western partners towards better mutual understanding of expectations, effective knowledge sharing and improved project outcomes. The resulting identification of key best practices in building cross cultural strategies for successful collaboration will be of interest to all organizations that manage both outsourced and in-house global teams to support their business needs.
The presentation will be complemented by insights from VanceInfo and other outsourcing experts to share their experiences in addressing these challenges.
