The US Consulate in Wuhan is organizing the first-ever "USA Week" in Wuhan, with events focusing on business and investment scheduled on September 22-23. These events will bring together US Ambassador Gary Locke, the governor of Hubei, the mayor of Wuhan, US commercial officers, local government officials and business leaders to discuss and promote bilateral investment. This will be Ambassador Locke's first trip to Wuhan since he took his post in August.
AmCham China and its Central China Chapter will host the business events listed below.
Hubei Dialogue with US Companies, September 22
The investment forum will be the key commercially-themed event during Wuhan USA Week (September 22-28). It is designed to introduce Chinese investors to opportunities in the U.S., based on the concepts of the FCS "Select USA" program. At the same time, Hubei government will introduce investment opportunities to U.S. investors.
Lunch with Ambassador Locke, September 23
Ambassador Locke will share his thoughts about his new post and his vision for the evolving US-China relationship. Following the briefing, there will be a reception in honor of the Ambassador. Please join the AmCham China community in welcoming Ambassador Locke to Wuhan.
