Want to find qualified disabled candidates for your organization? Want to lower down your payment to the Disabled Person Employment Security Fund? Want to explore the best way to fulfill your corporate social responsibility in helping increasing disabled employment? Come and join us!

On 9 September 2015, the PRC Ministry of Finance, the PRC State Tax Bureau and the China Disabled Persons Federation jointly issued the Methods on Levying, Use and Management of Disabled Persons’ Employment Security Fund to encourage companies to increase disabled employment. Since that, there has been heated discussions on People with Disabilities (PWD) employment and the security fund. Although amendment articles have been released this April to alleviate enterprise burdens, companies are still facing tremendous challenges in their efforts of recruiting enough disabled talents, given to the scarcity of disabled candidates who are able to work in corporate settings. Low literacy and low level of skill turns out the major obstacles to disabled employment.

AmCham China is fully committed in facilitating PWD employment and helping member companies to tackle their recruitment challenges and fulfill social responsibility in the same time. On November 1st, a PWD workshop will be held AmCham Conference center, with the theme of “Bridging the Gap – Tackling Your Disabled Employment Challenges ”. Speakers from renowned research institutions, NGOs and service providers, such as FESCO, ILO, OPO Group for Disability, China Disability Development Program of Harvard University, Joni & Friends will share their expertise and best practices – offering diversified and innovative solutions to help bridge the gap.
