    Tracy Doherty-McCormick

    Country Counsel in China at Boeing

    Tracy Doherty-McCormick serves as Boeing’s Country Counsel in China. She previously served as the First Assistant U.S. Attorney and Acting U.S. Attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of Virginia, U.S. Department of Justice, where she prosecuted federal cases and oversaw the office. As General Counsel, Tracy assisted in standing up a newly created special inspector general’s office within the U.S. Department of the Treasury to investigate and audit pandemic-related fraud, waste, and abuse. Tracy was a Legislative Assistant at the U.S. Senate, Committee on the Judiciary, and a Law Clerk in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Virginia. She has held a variety of legal and consulting positions in the U.S. and abroad, including at law firms in Washington, D.C. and Hong Kong. Tracy graduated magna cum laude from the Georgetown University Law Center. She studied Mandarin Chinese at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, New Asia Yale-in-China Chinese Language Center.

    Kenneth Zhou is a partner in the firm's Asia Corporate Practice Group. He joined the firm in 2004.
    Mr. Zhou's practice focuses on foreign direct investment, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity/venture capital, joint ventures and strategic alliance, general corporate, anti-trust and regulatory matters, FCPA and investigations, and international dispute resolution. He has advised many foreign companies in high-tech, media and entertainment, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, banking and financial services, publishing, consumer product and services industries with respect to their strategic expansion, investments and business operations in China. Mr. Zhou has also advised leading Chinese companies on their outbound investments, M&A and strategic expansion in the U.S. and Europe. In addition, he is also experienced in capital market, foreign trade and WTO matters.
    Mr. Zhou is a former governor and General Counsel of AmCham China. He currently serves as Chair of the Outbound Investment Forum of AmCham China.
    Mr. Zhou is the author of the Business Organization Chapter published in Business Law in China: Trade, Investment, Operations and Finance. ICC Publ. No. 672, 2d rev. ed. He is also one of the authors of China’s Anti-Monopoly Law – The First Five Years, published by Wolters Kluwer in 2012. He has written articles in such periodicals as China Law & Practice, Asia Pacific Antitrust and Trade Review, Capital and others on a wide range of topics including M&A, corporate restructuring, private equity/venture capital investment, foreign direct investment in China, tax and regulatory matters.

The major cases handled by Mr. Chen involve areas such as investment and financing disputes, joint venture disputes, biopharmaceutical disputes, product liability disputes, and public crisis management.

    Before joining Han Kun Law Offices, Mr. Chen worked for ten years in the Dispute Resolution Group at King & Wood Mallesons in Beijing. He has represented domestic and international clients in numerous arbitration cases at well-known arbitration institutions such as SIAC, HKIAC, AAA, ICC, CIETAC, BAC, SHIAC, and SCIA, among others. Additionally, Mr. Chen has represented many multinational companies and large state-owned enterprises in numerous litigation cases at the Supreme People's Court of China and local people's courts at various levels.

    Mr. Chen is an accredited/recommended arbitrator with several well-known domestic and international arbitration institutions, including HKIAC, CIETAC, SCIA, and CMAC. He has served as a chief arbitrator and sole arbitrator in a large number of cases.

    Mr. Chen was one of the first lawyers to be included in the Ministry of Justice's "National Thousand Foreign-related Lawyer Talent Pool" and is a member of the Beijing Lawyers Association's "Capital Foreign-related Lawyers Training Camp."

    Susan Munro has represented clients in connection with investments, commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, investigations, and disputes matters in mainland China, the Hong Kong SAR, and more broadly the Asian region for more than 25 years. From 1997 until 2001, she practiced as a barrister after being called to the Bar of the Hong Kong SAR. From 2001 to 2010, she was based in Shanghai with a US law firm, where she worked on international abritration, investments and US SEC, DOJ, and internal investigations in the pharmaceutical, medical devices, alternative energy, insurance and financial services industries. From 2010 to 2020 she was based full-time in Beijing, where she was a partner and headed up the office of a US law firm and represented Chinese state-owned enterprises, insurance companies, financial institutions, US listed companies, and a large global investment fund in connection with investments, international regulatory compliance, cybersecurity and data privacy, investigations, and cross-border disputes. Immediately prior to joining K&L Gates in Hong Kong, Susan served as a partner in a US law firm in Hong Kong. In this role, she focused on transactions, international regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, ESG, employment, and international arbitration.

    Throughout her career Susan has continued to develop her international arbitration practice, representing a wide range of clients in arbitral proceedings, sitting as an arbitrator, and undertaking various roles with arbitral institutions, including, Co-Chair of the ICC Belt & Road Commission (2020 to 2022). She is a member of Arbitral Women and is listed in the Mute-Off Thursday Global Guide to Women Arbitrators.

Prior to her tenure at CIC, Hong was an equity partner at Haiwen & Partners, a Chinese law firm. Hong started her legal career as an associate attorney at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP. Her legal practice focuses on commercial corporate, M&A, private equity and capital market transactions.
    Hong received a Master of Laws degree from Columbia Law School in 1999 and another Master of Laws degree from University of International Business and Economics in Beijing in 1996.
