Embassy Briefing: Insights into America's Electoral System
The US Embassy in Beijing will give a presentation on the nuts and bolts of the American electoral system. Harold H. Brayman, trade policy officer at the US Embassy, will explain the development of the American political party system, the electoral college system, and the roles and responsibilities of the three branches of the American federal government.
Participants are also welcome to stay for a 6:30 PM showing of the movie "All the President's Men" at the Beijing American Center.
Brayman has been with the Foreign Commercial Service (FCS) since August 2010. He works with the Market Access and Compliance section of the International Trade Administration, focusing on the Government Procurement and Investment Issues portfolios. Prior to joining FCS, Mr. Brayman was the Chief Executive Officer of Transpac Ventures, LLC which has assisted companies ranging from large multinationals to small entrepreneurs in developing and executing business strategies with a focus on the China market. Harold, or Lee as he prefers to be called, has worked extensively with companies active in the automotive, information technology and robotics industries.
