Former US and UK Government Officials on Developments in Anti-Corruption Enforcement
Anti-corruption enforcement and interpretation of the US and UK's relevant laws are of increasing importance to US businesses operating in China. Please join us for this presentation from two former senior government officials discussing how the government views anti-corruption enforcement. US-based attorneys Steve Anthony and Robert Amaee will present first on their respective government experiences. Then Beijing-based attorneys Nate Bush and Eric Carlson will lead a session of Q&A.
Steve Anthony formerly served in the criminal division of the US Department of Justice, where he focused on prosecuting bribery and corruption cases. He now advises clients on a range of issues relating to FCPA compliance, including the design, implementation, and review of compliance programs and the conduct of corporate internal investigations. Robert Amaee was until earlier this year the head of anti-corruption and head of proceeds of crime at the UK Serious Fraud Office (SFO). He was responsible for the operational delivery of the SFO's anti-corruption cases from acceptance through investigation and on to prosecution and confiscation of criminal assets.
