China Overseas Investment Fair and SelectUSA Seminar

The US Embassy would like to invite businesses to join the US Pavilion during the 2011 China Overseas Investment Fair. The main objective of the fair is to increase investment between China and overseas countries. It is seen as a platform for Chinese companies to enhance their investment and to create a path for their success. For those who cannot attend in person, the Embassy encourages participation in the catalogue show.

American companies interested in exhibiting at the US Pavilion receive a 9 square meter booth at the event. AmCham China members receive a discount:
- Discounted rate for AmCham China members: RMB 5,000
- Governmental institutions/economic development or representative offices: RMB 9,800
- Commercial organizations (service providers): RMB 13,800

The Commercial Section is also organizing a SelectUSA Seminar to be held in conjunction with the fair and is soliciting participation by US States and territories interested in speaking face-to-face with potential Chinese investors. Catalogue show participants ($200 per participant) receive a table at the Seminar for 1-on-1 meetings.

In June 2011, President Barack Obama issued an Executive Order for the establishment of the SelectUSA Initiative "in order to support private sector job creation and enhance economic growth by encouraging and supporting business investment in the United States."
