E-commerce has emerged as an essential distribution channel worldwide, facilitating inexpensive and reliable consumer choices. In particular, e-commerce has become quite significant in China, where Taobao, with its B2C branch TMall, has grown to become the largest e-commerce site in the world.

However, many American companies are not yet able to capitalize on the e-commerce opportunity present in China. Doing so requires specialized fulfillment operations, a system of customer relationship management and warehouse support, all of which can present a substantial logistical and financial burden.
On September 28th, AmCham China is pleased to invite you to attend a presentation by Mr. Frank Lavin, representing Export Now (Exportnow.com), who will discuss viable e-commerce strategies in China. Mr. Lavin's presentation draws on his experience as Undersecretary of the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Chairman of the Steering Committee of the USA Pavilion at the 2010 Shanghai Expo, and from his current efforts using Export Now to help American firms sell to Chinese consumers through Taobao's TMall.

Please note this event will be conducted in English.
