Anil Gupta is widely regarded as one of the world's top experts on strategy, globalization, and entrepreneurship on the emerging markets. He has been ranked several times as one of the world's “most influential management thinkers” by Thinkers50, and furthermore, he is one of only 3 professors in the world has been elected as a Lifetime Fellow by all three of the most prestigious bodies in the field – Academy of Management, Strategic Management Society, and Academy of International Business. Anil Gupta has been teaching in the Smith China EMBA program for over 16 years.

Dr. Tong has been leading the Medical Department in Novartis China since June 2019 with an aim to bring innovative cancer drugs to benefit Chinese patients. Before joining Novartis, Dr. Tong was in charge of the Medical Affairs Department in Novo Nordisk (China) Pharmaceutical from 2009 to 2019. She has profound experience in designing, building, developing and optimizing the function with medical expertise in China.

Dr. Tong got her M.D. and Ph.D. from Peking University Health Science Center in 2002, and she was trained in the University of California, Los Angeles, David Geffen School of Medicine as post-doc in 2004-2005. Dr. Tong enrolled the Global leadership EMBA program from Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland in 2018.
