Don a hard hat and join AmCham China’s Real Estate and Development Committee for a site tour of two under-construction towers in Beijing’s Central Business District.
First, we will visit the China Life Financial Center (中国人寿金融中心) which is a 39-story individual office building covering an area of 162,000 square meters of mostly commercial space that incorporates unique environmentally-conscience design elements including indoor air quality innovations, streamlined garbage removal processes and a focus on the users’ overall experience.
The 45-story CP Center Twin Tower Complex (正大中心) North Tower features innovative smart-building design elements including elevators with automatic facial recognition and floor selection and smart-car parking where floor lights guide users to pre-determined available spaces, relieve peak hour congestion and provide online parking payment. The North Towe features 90,000 suqare meters of retail space on floors 5-45 and retail space on B2-4F.
Both towers are located in Beijing’s Central Business District (CBD) which covers 300,000 square meters in downtown Beijing. The CBD area is already booming but by 2019 is expected to boast an additional 6 high-rise towers. The CBD has access convenient walking access to Subway lines 1, 10 and 14. Currently the CBD boasts over 20,000 enterprises with 170 from global Fortune 500 companies with a particular focus on financial sector, insurance, technology and pharmaceutical industry. and 270,000 professionals working in the area.
