Make your lunch productive by joining 12-15 motivated young professionals from within the AmCham China community to share resources and best practices for success and career development. Young professionals interested in expanding their network, becoming more involved with AmCham China, and getting to know their peers in the expatriate business community should register for this informal discussion.

This month, the Young Professionals Committee welcomes Mr. Fernando Vallina. In March 2017, Mr. Fernando Vallina transferred to Beijing, China where he is currently serving as Chairman of ExxonMobil (China) Investment.

Mr. Vallina joined ExxonMobil Chemical in 1987. He has held a wide range of management positions in sales, marketing, technology, planning and supply chain and lived in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Mr. Vallina is currently a member of the Board of the Association of International Chemical Manufacturers (AICM), and the Executive Board of the Multinational Companies' Committee of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (CPCIF).

During the session, Mr. Vallina will share his professional journey in energy and chemical industries for more than 30 years. He will also be giving career development advice for young professionals, and how foreign firms and individuals can succeed in the current business climate. The session will conclude with the opportunity for guests to ask questions to discuss these and other issues as well as network and get to know other young professionals in the AmCham China community.
