Margaret Katsumi is the Senior Deputy Nonimmigrant Visa Chief at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, China. Prior to her service in Beijing, Margaret served as Vice Consul in Guangzhou, China and as Political/Economic Officer in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Margaret joined the Foreign Service in June 2010.

Originally from Massachusetts, Margaret graduated from Moravian College with an undergraduate degree in sociology. She received a master’s degree from Harvard University, concentrating on government.
