The State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) have long been regarded as the cornerstone of Chinese state economy. To enhance the competitiveness and global impact of the SOEs, the State Council issued Guiding Opinions on Deepening Reform State Owned Enterprises in Sept 2015. The Chinese government aims to have made significant progress on critical components of the SOE reform by 2020.
This month, Mr. Dong Zhaohui, Deputy Director General of Reform Office, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC), who has been researching policies on SOE reform for years, will speak on relevant policies. During his speeches, he will touch upon mixed ownership reform--the gateway of the SOE reform. He will also explain how foreign invested companies can get involved in the reform.
