Amcham China Women’s Professional Committee (WPC) would like to invite everyone to join their monthly networking and celebrating the women’s month on March 16th (THU) from 17:30 to 19:00 at Amcham China Beijing Conference Center.

The event will invite Dr. Jaclyn Dam Laute, CEO of IDC Dental, Ms. Claudia Masueger, Founder & CEO of CHEERS Wines and Olivia JJingshu Ji, Co-Founder and COO of EventBank to share their experiences as women professional in their field.

In the meantime, we are pleased to introduce our Women Economy Summit held on April.12th at the Renaissance Beijing Capital Hotel. The WPC co-chair Mrs. Su Cheng Harris-Simpson will introduce the summit to all of you.

The event will open to all members and non-members, wines and finger foods will be served onsite and please register online to reserved your seat at your earliest convenient.

Please also note that IDC Dental will give everyone who attend the event a voucher of free dental exam.

Su Cheng uses her extensive client relations and project management skills along with her over 20 plus year of marketing background to assist a number of not-for-profit organizations, community organizations, bilateral associations and multinational corporations succeed in the China and Asian Countries. Since moving to China in 1997, Su Cheng has been actively involved in the Beijing business community, served on the Board of AmCham and is currently a co-chair for the AmCham Women Professional Committee, SME and Golf Committee. She has forged relationships with the American, British, Japanese and Australian Chambers of Commerce, the U.S. Embassy and a range of Beijing civic groups. Before becoming an social entrepreneur she was engaged in the corporate arena and held management positions at The Boeing Company, United Technologies Corporation, and The Capital Club in Beijing.

    Dr. Jaclyn Dam-Laute completed her Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1990 from the University of California, Irvine, USA. She then received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, USA in 1994. She graduated with special Achievement Awards from the American Academy of Oral Pathology and the Academy of Operative Dentistry.
    From 1994-1996 she completed her advanced certification in General Practice and Hospital Dentistry from the University of Texas Health Science Center, Houston, USA. She managed full mouth rehabilitation and treated medically compromised patients. She also completed a one-year extended program in implant dentistry (Branemark) and achieved licensing to practice dental sedation.
    In 1996, she joined Atria-Pan Dental Group of Pacific Healthcare Holdings in Singapore and gained over 4 years of clinical experience and knowledge in cosmetic and implant dentistry. Together with one of the best implant teams in Singapore, she traveled the region to perform hundreds of implants cases before returning to America.
    In 2000, she was one of five selected from among 250 applicants into Nova Southeastern University’s Endodontics Post-Graduate Program (a recognized specialty of controlling dental infection and maintaining the natural tooth through root canal therapy and associated treatments or surgeries) in Fort Lauderdale, USA. She has passed the American Board on Endodontist Certification process Part I and Part II. She is the only practicing Western-trained endodontist in Beijing.
    In 2002, with a license to practice and work in Beijing, China, Dr. Laute joined Beijing United Family Hospital (BJU) and was a pioneering member in developing the dental department. From 2005-2008 she was appointed as BJU Chairman for the Department of Dentistry and helped it achieve accreditation from the Joint Commission International (JCI). She also served on the hospital’s Medical Advisory Board. In 2006, she was selected as “BJU Star of 2006″ based on patients’ review and satisfaction.
    In 2008 she expanded her scope of service into the field of orthodontics (braces). She is American-trained through a 2-year curriculum by Progressive Orthodontics, who over the past 25 years has established itself as one of the world’s #1 orthodontic training center. She became a certified dentist in Progressive Orthodontics. Under her leadership, IDC Dental also became the first Certified Progressive Orthodontics Clinic in China. Dr. Laute also completed her formal training with Align Technology, USA to be an Invisalign braces provider. She hopes to be among the first to bring high-level comprehensive western orthodontics to Beijing.
    Recently in 2009, the American Biographical Institute nominated her for the “2009 Woman of the Year in Dental Health” award. She was also selected to be in the 10th edition of the International Who’s Who of Professional and Business Women publication. In this same year, the Consumer’s Research Council of America selected her as one of “America’s Top Dentists” based on her years of practice, education and experience.
    Dr. Laute continues to expand her skills and knowledge through practice and education.
    Dr. Laute holds active licenses to practice dentistry in Beijing, Singapore, Florida and California. She speaks fluent English, conversational Mandarin and Vietnamese.

    Claudia Masüger has a rich and various background: she worked several years for SwissRe, founded a charity organization and build up computer schools for a couple of year. She has arrived in China in 2008 with two suitcases of wine samples. In the meantime she and her awesome team build up two successful wine businesses: A B2B wine wholesaler as well as a wine retail chain store called CHEERS Wines. CHEERS currently has over 30 stores all over China and they grow fast with an outstanding Franchise Concept with the biggest aim, to develop Entrepreneurs. CHEERS wines makes wine drinking fun and its customers smile.
