Current responsibilities
Eric Hirsch is the head of JLL’s Commercial business in Beijing. He is responsible for developing strategy, business priorities and driving international best practices for the Firm and is a member of the Regional Tenant Representation Board. A true leader in Beijing’s office space market, in 2015, Eric led over 200 Beijing leasing transactions covering over three and a quarter million square feet. Eric has a superb 85 percent repeat business rate and extremely high client satisfaction scores, along with the lowest team staff turnover in Beijing. Eric has been with JLL in Beijing since 2004 and was instrumental in building up the Firm’s local tenant representation team prior to assuming his current role as the head of Markets. Eric is also honored to have contributed to the development of the city of Beijing during the run-up to the Beijing 2008 Olympics, a critical time in the development of Beijing’s skyline, working with companies in such notable projects, including: the World Financial Center, China World Tower, etc.
Previous experience
With over 23 years of real estate experience in China and the US market, Eric is one of the foremost commercial property experts in the Beijing real estate market. His expertise covers marketing consultancy of major commercial developments, portfolio leasing, general market agency and tenant representation. He has worked on major projects in New York and Beijing including representing tenants such as AP, Amazon, Commerzbank, Deutsche Bank, BHP Billiton, Baker & McKenzie, Cisco Systems, Dewey Ballantine, DLA Piper, Honeywell, KPMG, Sony Ericsson, Marsh McLennan, UBS, JP Morgan and Volkswagen since then.
He has been involved in over USD 1.5 billion worth of office leasing transactions during his career.
Education and affiliations
Eric holds a BA in History from the Pennsylvania State University. He has also won industry and internal company awards, including:

Eric is on the Board of Governors and the Chairman of the Real Estate Forum at the American Chamber of Commerce in China and on the Board of Directors of the Surmang Foundation. He has also led training for two of the “Big Four” accounting firms and has been a guest lecturer on real estate at China’s most elite universities, including: Peking University and Tsinghua University. He is also licensed in New York.
