2nd U.S.-China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Cooperation Forum (2016 U.S.-China Business Match-Making Conference) is co-organized by China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Machinery & Electronic Products (CCCME), China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Jiangsu Sub-council (CCPIT-Jiangsu), U.S.-China Energy Cooperation Program (ECP) and Kunshan Municipal Government.
As a signature U.S.-China cooperation activity, the forum is fully supported by U.S. Trade & Development Agency (USTDA) and Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province. Meanwhile, this forum is also a part of China Import Expo (CIE) in Kunshan from May 19th to May 21st, 2016. China Import Expo-Kunshan is co-hosted by Ministry of Commerce, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government.
As a professional import expo in China, CIE has been held for 4 times since 2012, and carries out exhibition and activities focusing on the advanced technology, key equipment and emerging industries with strategic importance. CIE 2015 attracted over 600 enterprises from 43 countries and regions across the world, and the accumulated number of trade visitors exceeded 50,000 during the four-day expo. CIE 2016 will set up three main exhibiting sectors, including Intelligent Manufacturing, Environmental Protection and New Materials, and Brand Consumer Goods. The exhibition area is expected to be 80,000 m2 with a total of 70,000 expected visitors.
2nd U.S.-China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Cooperation Forum with business match-making conference by CCCME and ECP aims to promote the concrete business cooperation in energy conservation and environmental protection areas between U.S. and China, including product trading, knowledge exchange and technology innovation discussion.
CCCME was founded in July of 1988, as a nationwide industrial and nonprofit organization, formed jointly and voluntarily by various economic organizations engaged in manufacturing, import and export and other related activities in machinery and electronic industry. In April of 2013, Ministry of Commerce of China signed bilateral Memorandums of Understanding with USA California State about the establishment of joint working group between Chinese Provinces and American California State on Trade and Investment Cooperation. Until now, seven Chinese provinces Jiangsu, Inner Mongolia, Shandong, Chongqing, Shanghai, Guangdong and Hebei involved in the Chinese working group and CCCME is the secretariat of Chinese working group. This forum is one of important event under U.S.-China Province-State Cooperation Mechanism. ECP is founded in November of 2009, as a non-profit organization supported by U.S. and Chinese government. The members of ECP are advanced technical and service providers in the energy and environmental field. ECP has ten working groups specifically from policy research to business promotion. This forum invites the government officers, enterprisers, and associations together to discuss the future cooperation.
