You are cordially invited to attend the Annual Beijing Vice Mayor Dialogue, co-hosted by the Beijing Investment Promotion Bureau, AmCham China, the European Union Chamber of Commerce, the Japanese Chamber of Commerce, and the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in China.

The event this year will focus on the pilot program to open up the service sector in Beijing. Beijing Vice Mayor, Ms. Cheng Hong, will elaborate further on the six major fields of this program (science and technology services; internet and information services; cultural and education Services; financial services; business and tourism services; and healthcare and medical services) as well as new regulations and opportunities.

Simultaneous interpretation will be provided, as will a complimentary lunch. Please inform us whether or not you would like to have lunch when registering online.

Please note that seating is limited to two registrants per member company and the registration deadline is Thursday December 10, COB.

    Vice Mayor , Beijing

    Prior to her public service, Ms. Cheng Hong taught economics at Beijing Wuzi University where she was Associate Dean of the Economics Department, Director of the Graduate Department and Director of the Institute of Circulation Economics. She later served as Deputy Director-General of Beijing Municipal Commission of Commerce, Deputy Director-General of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Deputy Mayor of Chaoyang District, Director-General of the Administration Board of Beijing Central Business District (CBD), Vice Chairperson of Beijing Municipal Committee of China Democratic League, Chairperson of Beijing Federation of Industry and Commerce. In January 2008, Ms. Cheng Hong was elected Vice Mayor of Beijing.

    Mrs. Cheng Hong was a deputy to the Tenth National People's Congress and is a member of the Eleventh CPPCC National Committee.

    Responsibilities: Mrs. Cheng Hong is in charge of ethnic affairs, commerce, administration of industry and commerce and affairs related to overseas Chinese.
