Daniel P. Ahn has served as the Senior Advisor to the Chief Economist at the U.S. Department of State since 2014. He previously served in private industry as Chief Economist, Commodities, with Citigroup, as well as Director of Macroeconomic Research with Citadel Investment Group. He has also worked with Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital. Ahn holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard, a B.A. in Economics and Finance from Princeton. He also teaches at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
