Maria R. Morris

查看更多Maria Morris is responsible for growing MetLife’s Group Life, Health, Credit and Pensions businesses across more than 40 countries.
Since joining MetLife in 1984, Morris has served in multiple leadership roles including interim Chief Marketing Officer, head of Global Technology and Operations, and leading the successful integration of the $16.4 billion American Life Insurance Company (Alico) acquisition.
Morris serves on a number of boards, including the MetLife Foundation, MetLife Property and Casualty Insurance Company, and as Vice Chair of the All Stars Project, Inc. Board of Directors. She is also a member of the Women’s Forum of New York.
Bharat Kannan
Chief Distribution Officer, MetLife Asia Limited
查看更多Bharat Kannan was appointed as Chief Distribution Officer on September 1, 2015. Kannan is responsible to lead all intermediated distribution channels in Asia and has Asia-wide responsibility for agency, bancassurance, employee benefits and global relationship management channels. He also partners with in-country distribution leaders to drive value growth through disciplined distribution management. Kannan is a member of MetLife’s Asia Leadership Group. He is currently based out of Tokyo, Japan.
Kannan joined MetLife in March 2015 as its Head of Employee Benefits for Asia. He spearheaded MetLife’s Employee Benefits team in Asia in executing strategy, accelerating growth and continuing to build out MetLife’s employee benefits capabilities across the region. In addition, Kannan supported key relationships with clients and brokers and focus on expanding MetLife’s relationships with multinational businesses headquartered in Asia and outside the region.

查看更多Mr. Tan has over 20-years insurance management experience both in China and the US, and made remarkable achievements in the areas of business strategy, development and operations, creating long-term value for customers and stakeholders.
After joining MetLife in 2013, he leads China team to raise the solvency from warning line to 255% in a few months. In 2014,MetLife China ranked top 3 among all foreign/JV life insurers in terms of gross written premium while its new business premium growth rate was much higher than industry average level. MetLife China also became the first joint/foreign insurance company to get license in Shanghai free trade area.
George Tan got MBA degree from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He was awarded 2010 Annual Vigorous Managers, 2012 Most Profitable Business Leaders in China Insurance Industry. In 2014, he was awarded Powerful Leader of Insurance Industry as well as 2014 Shanghai Financial Innovative Leader.
