Award-winning sociologist D. Michael Lindsay is the president of Gordon College and is among the youngest presidents in the countrys. Under his presidency, unrestricted giving to Gordon has increased 60 percent, the College has welcomed its largest incoming classes in the institution’s 125-year history, and Gordon has climbed 14 spots in the national rankings.

In 2006, he was named the “most promising sociologist under 35” at the World Congress of Sociology. Lindsay’s Pulitzer-nominated book, "Faith in the Halls of Power," was listed in Publishers Weekly’s “Best Books of 2007.”

"Platinum: The Inside World of Power and Success" is based on the largest set of in-depth interviews conducted with major leaders – including former Presidents Carter and Bush and hundreds of CEOs at the nation’s largest corporations and nonprofits, including 20 percent of the Fortune 100.

Lindsay graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Baylor University and earned his Ph.D. in sociology from Princeton University.
