Ting Xiao is a Partner in the IPT practice of DLA Piper's Shanghai office. She also co-leads the firm’s Life Sciences practice in Greater China. Because of Ting’s life sciences background, her practice has been focusing on pharmaceutical, medical device, biotechnology, health food, telehealth, contract research organizations and other life sciences areas from day one. Ting specialized in patents, trade secrets, complex technology transfer and licensing in the life sciences sector as well as regulatory and compliance matters involving National Medical Products Administration, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Science and Technology and other government authorities regulating the life sciences industry. Prior to her legal career, Ting was a research scientist at the renowned Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing and the Structure Genomics Consortium co-founded by the University of Toronto and the University of Oxford. Leveraging her more than two decades of experience in the life sciences industry, Ting is uniquely situated to navigate legal issues from the legal, commercial and technical perspectives.
