2018 marks the fifth anniversary since the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), aimed to be fulfilled with enormous investment in infrastructure, communication, global trade and supply chain, was initiated in 2013. Trade and investment along this modern-day Silk Road are booming; rising investment in regional connectivity along the Belt and Road are becoming particularly relevant in an environment of US-China trade tensions and potential resulting shifts in the global supply chain. With the impact of US-China trade frictions blowing to U.S. companies has already been "clear and far reaching", we hope that this B&R workshop may shed some light on prospects for containing the situation and provide promising insights.

We observe the latest achievement on the BRI (Belt and Road initiative) and provide an on-the-ground perspective from experts to forecast and get ready for fast-changing global trend, including the trade tensions. We would like to highlight;

  • The potential resulting shifts in the global supply chain in terms of BRI and US tensions.
  • How to keep international business posted with most up-to-date progresses of the B&R. initiative and its new opportunities.
  • Forecast and share the updated information from experts
  • How to expand investment along the Belt and Road.
