About ECWG

The ECWG was created in 2006 to facilitate civilian high-tech trade between the US and China by: improving the export control environment, promoting a security and compliance culture within the trade community in China, and assisting US companies on keeping up with the changes in China import and export regulations. The goals are accomplished through the promotion of government-industry cooperation, working with officials of both the US and Chinese governments, providing in-country market information, educating the US-China high-tech trade community on trade issues, compliance and regulation among others.
