It has been reported that the fifth plenary session, scheduled to be held later this month, will focus on discussing the fourteenth five- year plan (2021-2025) and reviewing guidelines for the CCP Central Committee. Some have suggested that the fifth session will initiate the beginning of a more inward-looking national strategy that will prioritize domestic growth and technological development.
What significant signals can we expect from the fifth Plenum? Are we going to see more efforts in reform and further opening? Should we expect further personnel reshuffling?
